You know, I'm less inclined to worry about a woman's age at the time she HAS a baby, as the age she will be when that baby is now a teenager with all the worries, emotions and hormones flying - most likely at exactly the same time as YOUR hormones are dying LOL. 40 may not be too old to bear a child, but the thought of waiting up nights for a teenger to come home from a date, or paying college tuition fees at 60, well that's another matter.

On the other hand I will say that my Mother had my youngest sister at 37 and my sister herself had her last child at the same age, and they seem to have coped!
