Paintings

I like gathering different paintings for my web site, especially lesbian ones, but also women's paintings in general and I thought I'd share some of them with you.
I haven't seen any pictures in here yet, so I dont know if that's allowed, if it's not, I rely on Mels or Tigs to tap on my fingers and I'll quickly remove them ! Wink Laughing

Those are paintings of a French painter I really like, Marie Lydie Joffre :

Don't you feel like learning French suddenly ? Wink Laughing

For those of you who want to see more paintings of this artist, here is a link to her web site Arrow http://www.marielydiejoffre.com/ and there even is an English version for you girls ! Wink

Thanks Eve ! Very Happy

Courbet's Sommeil is one of my favourites too because it's the first lesbian painting I ever saw. I think about I was about 13 or 14 (and already in love with a girl Wink ) and when I discovered it in a book store, I was overwelmed, my heart went beating like crazy and I felt like I had discovered something really exceptional. I bought a set of some paintings by Courbet and hid it for a quite a while in my closet until I could finally hang it on a wall when I got my first place...

Here is my story for that particular painting ! Wink

I liked the last paintings you'd put here. They are much more intersting...i think so. i'm not good in english yet, i'm from russia, so sorry if somthing will be written incorrect. I hope you'll put some more photos here. really nice paintings. just can't stop looking at them. i like sort of paintings when every time you can find something new in it.

@_@

I liked all those paintings. But out of them all, I think I'd have to say the Aja ones are the most appealing to me. ^_^ I kinda like the modernish look to them with the thick brush strokes. Really beautiful.
