screaming

ever just feel like screaming and maybe jumping off of a high surface and into an abyss of freedom? (not in a suicidal way. just in a get-rid-of-all-this-stress kind of way.)

Scream! Sing at the top of your lungs. Run around the neighborhood or jump on a bike. Pound a pillow. Dance. Laugh. Cry. Go for a walk in the park. Find a trampoline. Jump up and down. Write. Meditate. Sit with the energy. Talk to someone. Find someone to hug. Go for another walk. Scream again. Repeat it all over and over. Eventually the stress will take a hint and dissolve.

(Yes, I've felt that way.)

I am liking a lot of your suggestions and will consider doing every single one of them. Smile

Take a sledge hammer to the walls of your master bathroom, rip out the vanity, remove the old commode, pull up the formica counter top in the kitchen, pull up the nasty vinyl flooring in the kitchen and bathroom...

Replace all that you removed with new, up-to-date items at a fraction of the cost of paying someone else to do it, AND get the added benefit of relieving all of that pent up stress!

*while I don't recommend this practice for everyone, it did wonders for me over the past couple of years. Wink

Know what you meant. I did that when I was young. Hiked up some place deep in the park, screamed into the valley and received the scream back (echo). Just hanging out on top of the mountain was enough for me to destressed.

Now, I just put all the energy in the garden. It seemed the more stress I got, the better the garden has become. Smile
