Black Leather
Black leather, black boots
Guitar
Pink bra, dark roots
Guitar
Strong stride, courageous smile
Guitar
Innocent eyes, so wild…
Guitar
She fell down, after work
Pillows and linen, catching her fall
Guitar
Her body limp, each muscle tired
She suppressed how sick she felt inside
The strain of the day,
Weighing on her mind
What would they all say,
If she told them some time? …
Guitar
Another day, same street
Guitar
New faces, same beat
Guitar
Job done, go home
Guitar
Alone again, thoughts sow
Guitar
She, so strong
Such a baby, girl inside
Guitar
Needed someone to hold
She should have done what she was told…
Guitar
It’s my life she said, looking in the mirror,
Black tears running down her face
A wrong path chosen,
She knew she’d made
But life is for learning, it shouldn’t be paved
For you…
Guitar
Black leather, black boots
Guitar
Pink bra, dark roots
Guitar
Strong stride, confident smile
Innocent eyes, a growing young child…

I was following Jack around (I do that....follow the posts of someone I like, and find the little gems that they commented on that I had missed) and discovered this.
First, let me kick you HARD in the shins for being the only other person who has ever, to my knowledge, used my same av. (Why can't we use our own? Why do we have to use the gallery?)
Then let me say that I really like your poem, particularly the first and last stanzas. Good stuff!
Your shin will stop hurting in, oh, a few minutes. Welcome to mels!
