Waves rolling, curling and flowing,
Wistful and playful, waters undertowing,
Catching in spray to turn on the land,
Caressing and teasing with wide open hand.
Crests and troughs, waters rising high,
Reflections deep, torn clouds and sky,
Frothing and turning, power now unblocked,
To break and crash over sand and rock.
Ebbing back, sucked in by the ocean,
Disappearing with quiet, sultry motion,
To build again with crescendo reached,
To chase once more, the land to seek.
