the scent of a dream f

the scent of a dream
the troubles within
the dreams we weave,
is knowing whats real,
and what not to believe.....

i must admit that i lost touch,
and for a little while i dreamt too much.

i dreamt about your waving hair,
about simple pleasures
i find there....
i dreamt about your kisses too,
and found them better
than any liquored brew
that man might make
were he to take
the rest of time itself.

These few things,
(and many more)
kept me asleep with smiles galore,
as i explored the things
i can't ignore

suddenly,
Swiftly,
and without warning
i woke to find it almost morning....
i woke to find that you wern't here,
unlike my dreams,
(where you'd premiered)
i woke to find...

you'd dissapeared

you've been gone for hours now,
but your taste is fresh,
i dont know how
its managed to stay here, on my lips...
as if you never left my fingertips.

but what woke me from my slumbered state
was a scent so sweet
I can't relate
to you;
the feelingscreated,
from that first inhalation,
feeligns that healed me
like fine medication....

a fragrance that filled me
with an inner,
sweet song,
a fragrance so fimilier
i knew it had to belong
to that one person i miss;
it was your scent
all along
i knew then
that these dreamy delusions
were based on fact
a solid conclusion
that even in a sleepy state
my mind knows you
every detail
every trait
it knows your essence
there can be no debate
right down to your fragrance
that pleaseing perfume
that reminds me of stars
adn the nightime of june....
it reminds me of everything
that makes you.....you
and fills me with sunbeams
that shine right through
to my chest....
i swear that its true
more truth begins to settle in,
you're not here,
and i miss you again...
yet i know in every
thought and scheme,
i'll find you there,
under those bright moon beams
if i can sleep again,

And settle for dreams......
