Between yesterday and tomorrow
So many things are hard to understand
But the road is harder to see
Where you've been and where you'll be
And the road is widest where you stand.
You can't undo what's been
And you can't know what the future will demand
It's so hard to see ahead
Why not look right here instead
Cos the road is widest where you stand.
So just try to stay
Between heart and hand
Every ever-lovin' day
The road is widest where you stand.
This poem reminds me a little of "paper dolls" (another wonderful poem penned by you). Why does it remind me of that poem...because of the meaning it has for me and the understanding it brings to me. If a person dwells to much on yesterday and thinks to much about tomorrow then they will miss today. There is so much more to be gained from the hear and now that cannot be had once it becomes yesterday and cannot be made up for tomorrow.
Wonderful poem sweet lady
Hugs,
