Tempests strong and waters turning,
fishes swimming, caught, water churning;
sand in grains from depths so dark,
to swirl and play with waters lark.
Glistening surfaces, caught spellbound,
hushed winds, skimming without a sound;
to ripple and bend, form a wave,
to ebb and flow through each day.
Light refracted, trapped air and water,
Tinkling sounds spilled with laughter;
turns with rage to spit and spew,
over decks and land anew.
Powerful, strong, beautifully lithe,
Rolling, breaking, striking each wave;
seeking, searching, peaceful, calm,
surging soulfully with lapping charm.
Tensioned surface, breaking through,
sailors high her only crew;
to ride her changing nature, tamed,
while she tosses with temper inflamed.
To calm surface, silently still,
she empties her anger, had her fill;
to sparkle quietly, with open invite,
till wind rushes to tempt further fight....
