Yearning

Yesterday feels like a dream.
When soft words, most wild, caressed my ears
And thoughts as red and ripe
As a hot handed touch
Did sway all my senses.

When, with minutes ticking
My tongue touched my own lips
Wishing it was yours, and
Tangled sheets, played false servant to tangled thighs
For those that were most wanted.

Yesterday feels like a dream,
When soft words, most desired, caressed my ears
In darkened corner when none could hear them
But me, and you who would give them to me.
And thoughts that have finally been understood
Did sway all my misunderstandings.

When, with minutes ticking
I found myself:
A blind woman’s sight,
A mute woman’s voice,
A poor woman’s treasure,
A lost woman’s home.
A weary woman's place of rest.

Yesterday feels like a dream.
When soft words, most wanted, caressed my ears
And Mystery became Hopes forgotten disciple
As she took place at the side of Yearning.
And it is these lovers that I find,
Did sway me the most.

When, with minutes ticking by,
We realized,
That time and space and circumstance
Would snatch all those soft words back from me,
And steal them from you.
And that all that had been said,
Though not a dream
Found it's only sanctuary in collective dreams.

And all that is left is the prayers of Yearning
While solace resides in the house of Hope,
That these lover’s most beloved
Will wake to a tomorrow.
Where all those misunderstood yesterdays will be nothing
But a moment caught in the place of dreams.

So, with soft words most revered
I will wait for you tomorrow...

We all have moments when we read another's words and think "Omg, they ripped those words from my heart, right off my tongue?" Well, you did just that with these verses

When, with minutes ticking by,
We realized,
That time and space and circumstance
Would snatch all those soft words back from me,
And steal them from you.
And that all that had been said,
Though not a dream
Found it's only sanctuary in collective dreams.

And all that is left is the prayers of Yearning
While solace resides in the house of Hope,
That these lover’s most beloved
Will wake to a tomorrow.
Where all those misunderstood yesterdays will be nothing
But a moment caught in the place of dreams.
