Don't You Know!!
Don't you know that I love you..
Have I not told you..
Don't you know that you are the
very meaning of life to me..
Or have I not told you this..
Don't you know that my world
was filled with darkness until
you came along..
Or did I not tell you this..
Don't you know my days and nights
were filled with nothing but loneliness
before you..
Or have I never told you ..
If all these things I have never told
you before, I am telling you now..
Don't you know you are the very
meaning of love to me........
Oceans of Time
Oceans of time have brought us to this place..
A love that no one dares to erase..
With just a touch you have turned night into day.
With a kiss you have wiped all the pain away..
Now as we watch the sands of time go by,
I know that what we have is meant to be..
I know that all I want is you with me.. SAYING
GOOD-BYE
For nine months I
felt you grow and move inside of me....
Wondering with each day that passed what type of men would
the two of you become....
Would you be kind and compassionate like me or cold and distant
like your father....
The day I found out that there was two instead of one my heart
was so full of joy....
I felt as though I was truly blessed....
As the days moved along I could not wait to see you both....
I had so many plans for you my sons, so many dreams....
But with out warning I lost you both....
There isn't a day that goes by that I don't miss you both....
There isn't a second that goes by that I don't miss not having the chance to be
able to watch you grow into fine young men....
But as time has passed I have come to learn that it is time for me to say
good-bye for now, my beautiful boy....
When the time comes, we will be together again....
You will always be in my heart, and nothing will ever change that....
But now I have to say GOOD-BYE....
The Flames
Flames dance all around her threatening
to destroy all that she has worked so
hard to create and protect,
As the flames continue to rise her only thoughts
are of her daughter,
How can she protect her from the flames
when she can't even protect herself,
How can she keep her daughter from being
burned by the same flames that are now
destroying her..... |

Kristi's Biography
My name is, Kristi Willis, I am 32 years old and have been writing poetry for
almost 20 years. I have had a few of my poems published, and currently I have
been posting my poems on
Poetrypoem.com. Most if not all of my poetry has been inspired by things
going on in my life. I spend most of my time with my girlfriend and our pets
Maxie and Boopers. But when I am not spending time with them I am working on my
poetry. I have already completed my first book of poetry and am waiting to have
it published. I have already begun the second book.
You Will Never Know
You will never know how every time we are together I want to beg you
to stay....
You will never know how it feels to hold in all I feel for you and
to know I can never tell you, for fear of destroying what we have
together....
You will never know how I ache to have you near....
You will never know how my heart cries out for you....
You will never know that the love you have been searching for is
right in front of you....
For to you I am just a friend and nothing more....
So, once again I say you will never know just what you mean to
me....
Because I will never be able to tell you....

This Special Woman
Once in a lifetime if you are lucky
a special woman will come into your life
This woman will be the one that you
have dreamed of for so long....
She will know your soul inside and out....
She will be the one that you know you
should spend the rest of your life with...
But you are so scared that you do everything
possible to push this woman away....
This woman that you can see forever in her eyes...
In her arms is the safest place....
and this scares you.......
Will you ever take the plunge and allow
yourself to feel what is already there....
Or will you always wonder what could have been
with this woman.....

Shadows
We think it's easier to hide in the shadows,
easier than admitting we feel anything....
We have allowed ourselves to become too safe in our
shadows....
So much so, that we have fooled ourselves into believing
that if we remain there we don't have to take the chance
of feeling the pain of love ending....
For in the shadows we can hide and not allow anyone to
see the real us....
By hiding we fool ourselves into believing that no-one
can get to close to us....
For fear that if they could see what we really are they
would walk away....
Will we ever feel safe enough to allow someone to see
who we really are?
Or will will always remain hidden in our shadows |
