Honoring Poets

So often while perusing Melswebs I stumble on a poem by another poet that affects me deeply, inspires, breaks me down to tears or leaves me in awe. The power of poetry is quite something. But there are always those two or three poems (at the least) that had/have the most impact, the ones that we find as a rare gem and valued as such. This is where we are not alone or different, this is where we all have commonality...the courage to share our rawness through writing and the ability to be truly affected by another's expression.

If you have had this experience here at Mel's, would you consider sharing one or two of the personal gems you have found here? If so, name the person and the poem title...and join in honoring another poet who had impact~

Here are a few of my Gems I have found here on these boards~

Lost Soul...two poems which are: Self Inflicted & I Use To.

Misfit - Confluence

Veil - Love Note

Linda bray - Holding a Heart Within My Hands

Elbereth - The Thistle

Melons- How Winter Is Written

Cmichelle - This is Just Me

And one by Undone I can no longer find! Sigh
