His silver peppercorn hair glistened in the evening sun as his feet left impressions in the wet sand. His lean, granite toned body, shod in tattered shorts and nothing else , gave an incongruent beauty to the soft rippling waves. He stood before a cage whose bars were made of coral and whose lock was made of green seaweed, and fixed his eyes on the nakedness of the woman trapped within.
She stood barely four feet in his shack, covering her nakedness with her green hair. She spoke through her hands and eyes, never opened her mouth, and wept bitterly when he offered to share his roasted fish dinner. Within his sheets her clay toned skin gave a sparkle, the way the sea does at dusk and dawn.
He kept her tethered to a string of hemp, clothed her in a flimsy tunic and fed her nothing but seaside fruit. He left her each day to fish , returned to her disgusted stares and when he tried to part her legs, stopped abruptly, from her naïve stare.
