I wasn't looking for love when it found me
One heated day when my heart
Weighed heavy in air
Thick with heat, promise and desire.
I found love returned in the midst
Of paradox and contradiction
When sensible boundaries yielded
To need feeding its own habit.
In one another's arms we discovered
Healing, new beginnings and shared strength
Entrancing complexities of potency and vulnerability
Power surprised by promise.
Not only have I found love
But also unexpected depths in an old friend
Untapped reserves once carefully concealed
By a deceptively still surface.
Love became inspiration for exploration and risk
For the more I come to know you
The more I learn to love you
Each day filled with prismatic possibility and promise. _________________ WordWeaver
