Irony

 I met a new friend,
who lives far away.
She called me up,
just to say,
"You are cute.
Are you rich?"
and I said
"No"
and she said,
"Aww, too bad,
you could've,
come here."
And I wanted to,
I really wanted to.
But my Dad's plan,
for a family vacation.
With sixteen of us,
going for laughs.
I just bought,
that damn ticket.
Two glorious weeks,
in sunkissed Hawaii.
The convertable,
the apartment.
The reservations,
for sunset heli-tour,
of volcanic formations.
So aye, I am poor.
But I am rich,
in the ironies of life.
I thought I was smart,
ahead of my generation.
Warm paradise in March,
instead of snowy -30.
But mother nature,
laughs last and best.
Non-refundable,
is not a nice word.
When you want,
to change your mind.

Thanks Tigs,

It feel invisible outside the emotional poetry section. I post replies like my life depends on it, but people just don't notice me. But I am truly grateful for all the cool poets and friends I have made on here. So thanks again Tigger I can always count on you whenever anyone else ignores my butt.
