Do you remember

Do you remember,
I asked if I could kiss you?

It felt so strange to have to ask.
Hadn’t I known you a lifetime, not just days before?

The anticipation had been so great.
I wondered…What if I’m wrong? Is it right? and the timing?
Do you feel the same?
You’d called me honey and touched my hand...

I wanted to feel your lips on mine.
The ease I felt with you compared to none.

My fingertips and palm had stroked and rubbed and caressed…
the gear shift, the brake handle, the steering wheel, water bottle, thigh…
the whole way home. I wanted your hand in mine.

I watched you load your truck… I wanted you to stay.
You needed to get home…to get the little man back to ma.

You stepped closer, arms around my back, hugging me tight…
I kept thinking, it’s now or never, come on do it…

“I want to kiss you, to feel your lips on mine.”
In moments her lips were there.
Soft and warm, everything I hoped they would be.

That kiss, it turned my world upside down… life would never be the same.

Driving current through my lips and down…
tingling… burning… and now wet…
Deeper, wetter, harder, softer…our lips explored.

A single “bang”… he’d kicked the door.

Francua,

I haven't seen much of your work on here. Which is a shame because I think you are so talented! This poem drew itself in my head. I could see you wiping your palm on your thigh, rubbing your hand on the gear shift. You are so amazing, you made me want to kiss her too! I wish I could see more of your stuff on here. So keep writing, and posting, and I'll keep reading!

Wink
