Without You
Without You
I wrote this poem for my girlfriend, Karra. I am so very in love with her.
Without You
* What I’m missing without you here…
Is all in the morning-
It’s the look on your face when you first wake up,
It’s the touch of your soft lips against mine,
It’s hearing your voice, or poking you under the covers and
making you laugh.
Is all in the afternoon-
It’s taking a walk with you,
It’s having my fingers interlocked with yours,
It’s sitting down to enjoy a meal we just prepared together.
Is all in the night-
It’s cuddling up on the couch infront of a movie,
It’s holding you in my arms until you fall asleep,
It’s finally falling asleep, with only the sound of your breathing
And feeling the heat from your body against mine.
Is all in the future-
It’s looking you in the eye and saying, “I do,”
It’s saying, “Thank you,” after the birth of our child,
It’s taking a trip, knowing this is my real family.
Is in every day-
It’s knowing that I’ll wake up to spend another day with only
you by my side.
It’s what I’m missing without you here with me.
Okay... so the like... look of it doesn't exactly come out how I want it to on here, but at least you get the words.
