Pushing Back the Clock

if had a chance
to turn back time
i'd push back the clock
and make her mine
mistakes were made
words were said
a life without her
something i dread
i take her back
and kiss the pain
in my arms
it's her again

As much as I would love to turn back time I know I can't. Living in the past is making me old. There is a bright future out there for me, I know it!!!!!!!

I hope you're finding that writing is allowing you to unclutter your emotional attic a bit... I'd like to think that the lessons we learn from our past are just preparing us for the day the one we've waited for finally comes along. Keep writing, keep healing and keep looking forward - brighter days will shine on you.
