 love is friendship,
set to music
my favorite quote,
now but a memory of moist cheeks
and lonely nights

love is friendship
we let it grow,
i was so lucky
so fortunate,
i didnt understand

love is friendship
thats how it started
an unbreakable bond
an unbreakable trust
now broken, shattered and sore

love is friendship
that was set to a beautiful melody
and now i cant hear it anymore
i want our hearts to heal,
to find that golden thread
not to fix, but work through

i want the music back
without the music,
my life is so silent, so mute
i cant hear myself cry
my world is cold and disjointed

so play me a tune,
and dance my way
i promise to love you
i promise to change
i know what we are
and i know what we can be

so please, please, please,
bring the music back to me.

Jings, cutie pie... I like this poem. What works is that all the lines aren't exactly the same length, the broken stanzas, and the theme throughout. "Golden Thread"...nice.
