Some-Who
(Inspired by

by May Swenson)
Some-where, some-who
Out in the vastness on the earth
The same-who like I
Yet where are you and who are you
Are you someone who I would find in delight?
Some-same, some-not
Yet some-how the perfect part
The portion of you and the portion of me
Some-place, some-date
You linger in that time in space
You have come and gone?
Have you stayed in the future as the perfect result?
Or you who is around the next street corner?
Some-you, some-who
Without words and explanation you linger
In my tears and in my insecurities
Laughing like the mischievous sprite in the night in
Feeling all of this behind your very own doubts and tears _________________ “It would be a pity of lesbians and gay men retreated into the same kind of cultural separatism. " - Jeanette Winterson
