 She drafted a picture in her head
Of what she'd have liked you to be
A palette of little emotions
Which were just a subsidiary
Of her main overshadowing colour
The one that would set her soul free

She drafted a sonnet in her mind
Of how she'd have liked you to sing
An array of quiet little crotchets
A melodic accompanying thing
To serve as harmonious setting
To the main core of music she'd bring

She drafted a vision in her eye
Of how she'd have liked you to seem
A set of acceptable features
That never outshadowed the scene
Of how you might look when together
In her perfect, compatible dream

She drafted an echo in her heart
Of how she'd imagined you'd leave
The myriad disappointments
That enabled injustice to bleed...
It appears that your participation
Was something she just didn't need

Moonie, i read this very early am, and returned at official 'wake up time, and yep, I wasn't dreaming, it says so many things with such economy of words. I may have to return again though, I think it has more to tell me.
