slowly slowly sinking

Location: Lakewood, CA 		slowly slowly sinking

 someday i'll be thinking of you,
perhaps while drinking wine and
sinking heavy into the couch,
tinkering with my fingertips
as if they weren't my own
remembering the things we nearly had,
while we roughly embraced
and the twinkling in the night sky
like diamonds in a lunar sanctity
of trust and lust and hope and space,
i'll glide through my thoughts of love
while dreaming
and i'll be thinking of you,
perhaps while drinking wine
and slowly slowly
sinking into the couch.
