 chugs vodka, quick and
cheap like one-night scandals, as he places
crisp dollars under empty shot glasses, and
cashes out like a mad gambler, he wobbles and
crashes to the floor, a slow-motion
crunch and crack when he lands on his ass, “Fuck!” and he
crows about his aching body, then stands back up,
clears his throat, goes back to his stool, and empties his wallet
coins, cards, and all “Give me another goddamn drink.”
