There is this place that I know
Where all is silent and still;
I’m quite familiar with it.
The people listen and do not
Interrupt.
They are patient and kind.
No one hates anyone
And there’s privacy to be found.
Unfortunately,
They do not talk nor take
Notice when I stand and
Wave madly—
Like some windmill.
They show no emotion,
Nor are inclined to speak
When spoken to.
My God, how I hate this
Wax museum!

gen, i am starting to really like your work. well done.
and the subject makes me think of, if we had to choose between silence and unwanted responses, what the choice would be.
regards

Ghost, I really appreciate your words. A poet always likes to know when their work is liked... Perhaps, I shall post more of my poems...
