I wrote this as a song, but it is equally appropriate as a poem, so I decided to post it here...see what you think and let me know what title to give it...
Come on baby, let’s reach for the stars
catch a passing comets tail
and ride on for mars;
leave a trail of stardust at night
being with you just feels so right.
I’ll guide your hand as we map out our life,
avoid the troubles that come with strife,
we’ll etch the lines of our own destiny,
our heartbeats will sing in sweet harmony;
and the bells are ringing right through my soul,
with you beside me I can attain every goal;
we’ll reach the stars and paint an orange moon
and spill tears of love in a silver monsoon.
So come on baby lets ride to mars,

Sprinkle your magic for me tonight
being with you just feels so right.
I’ll etch your face on my memory,
our bodies will sway to loves harmony;
we’ll draw dot to dot “I love you’s”
in stargazer golds, silvers and blues.

you are my constellation Virgo,
a fair maiden sketched in the skies
reflected in my golden eyes.

funny you say that, i just wrote an entry in an online diary this morning about still trying to lasso me a star, catch me a dream, and live my happily ever after.
cooks up a vision of a cowgirl, holding on for everything she's worth to that starry dream!
see ya on the other side of mars, ...i'll be the one being tugged by my rope behind some distant star too damn stubborn to surrender the dream.
